i have decided to have 9 and only 9 cards pre-approved to show everyone (i wanted to be able to have something to show at the non-sport card show this weekend, otherwise i might have waited on these too!). i LOVE seeing everyone posting their cards, but i think i'm going to wait until the set is released to unleash my 500 cards on everyone ;-)
even with the short deadline we have for SW30, i've really put so much into these cards. even with 500, there's a LOT of variation, a lot of color, lots of scenes, lots of cute things and a lot of fun.
once the cards are released, i'll post scans of all my cards. but for now, know that i'm really putting my all into these cards to make them some of my best work... and enjoy the only 9 i'm letting out for a sneak peek!
I know I should probably already know this by now, BUT! Where would one go if they would like to purchase a set of 500? And how would one go about doing so? *g*
I ordered them thru the comio store I work at. The only place you can get the boxes with the sketch cards if it is anything like the LOTR sets. The boxes that ship to walmart and other retail stores like that dont get the sketch cards put in them.
If you go to a comic store that accepts special orders and tell them that you want to order item number APR07 4442 STAR WARS 30TH ANNIVERSARY T/C BOX they should be able to get you a box of them.
If you are out to get Katies work you are better off asking to comission her to do a piece. I bought four boxes of the LOTR masterpieces cards trying to get sketch cards of a set group of artist that I am a fan of and didnt get one ( though I did get some cool sketch cards)
Have I ever mentioned that I find your work fantasmagorical?
It's a good thing these sketch cards are relatively few and far between, or I'd be spending too much money buying these things. Between you and arletta, I'm awfully tempted. I'm not even gonna look to see if gdg posted any. I can only resist so much.
I was directed to this journal from a friend and I'm so glad I was. Your art is fantastic and I can't wait to go through and take a good luck at it all.
Bonnie Burton introduced me to your artwork and I'm so glad she did! You're an absolutely wonderful artist, definitely one of my favorites. I made a few icons and hope you don't mind:
